Recently, a few members of the Entier Family from our events division, Wilde Thyme, were selected for the Art of Leadership Scholarship in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Events Operations Manager, Isla McIlwrick, and Executive Chef, Craig Palmer, were selected for this prestigious and valuable opportunity to develop their leadership skills at the world renowned EHL Hospitality Business School, where they attended a bespoke course designed for HiT Scotland.

They had the opportunity to network and learn from other professionals in the catering and hospitality industry, as well as enjoy some of the finest Swiss hospitality. Previous delegates have experienced culinary experiences at the Business School’s Michelin-star restaurant and tasted local wines at the nearby vineyard.

Isla and Craig said;

"EHL Hospitality Business School provided an inspirational environment where both students and staff upheld exceptional standards. Witnessing so many others share our passion and commitment to excellence was truly inspiring. Throughout our time at EHL, we gained invaluable insights and tools, transitioning from team management to effective leadership. We delved into the principles of leadership mindset and behaviour, putting theory into practice. We are both excited to put these new tools and knowledge into practice in our new roles. Thank you to Entier & HiT Scotland for the fantastic opportunity".

The 6 week course provided proven strategies to help with transitioning from a manager to leader mindset, specifically focusing on how to effectively communicate your vision, setting and achieving goals and providing constructive feedback to inspire others.

The trio said;

"we found the course really enjoyable, it was such a beneficial learning experience that we have taken valuable lessons from, of which we plan to implement within our roles moving forward. Thank you to everyone from HiT Scotland who played a part in this programme, the skills we learned are all hugely useful for a career in the hospitality industry."

Well done to you all.
