We are incredibly proud to announce our Chef Apprentice, Oliver Redgwell-Welch, was crowned Scottish Young Chef of the Year at ScotHot 2025.

Oliver's winning menu consisted of:


Scallop and Langoustine Ravioli with Mushroom and Madeira Sauce
Roasted Pork Fillet with side bowl of Sticky Pig Cheek
Chocolate Souffle with Yoghurt and Pear Sorbet


Guided and mentored by our award winning team here at The Olive House, the months of preparation and countless run-throughs ultimately led to him serving up 3 incredible dishes, earning the gold medal.
