Fresh Olive Apprentice Site Visits - Where Our Suppliers Produce Come From

Our Executive Chef, Orry Shand, took our Fresh Olive Apprentices out on some site visits the other week so that they can see where some of our suppliers produce comes from, and the process that goes into this.
Their first stop was at Duncan Farms, a Scottish family farming business based in Turriff. The apprentices had an incredible opportunity to witness the entire egg production process, and were given a wonderful tour round the premises. The eggs produced by Duncan Farms supply our suppliers Strachans Ltd and Mark Murphy, as well as leading supermarkets.
They then went on to visit Benzies where Philip Benzie graciously showed them round his farm and packing business based in the heart of rural Scotland. Benzies produce top-quality potatoes and carrots for our suppliers and leading supermarkets.
A very interesting and educational day for our Fresh Olive Apprentices, and a great opportunity for them to learn more about fantastic local produce. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves, thank you to all involved.
