The 2017 SHINE awards were held at the Gleneagles Hotel, Aucherarder on Friday 2nd February 2018.
The evening started in the Glendevon suite for a champagne reception welcoming the 160 guests to the prestigious event. The guests were called to dinner by TJ & Karen, our team from Gleneagles looking after our event,
On arrival for dinner, we were all welcomed in by the fabulous Soul Brother’s, a Soul, Motown and Pop act who entertained the guests with many popular soul songs from past and present.
Tom Clarke gave a touching Grace before the guests tucked into the stunning menu of Scottish smoked salmon, Hebridean crab, quail egg, white balsamic and cucumber dressing, Slow roasted Fillet and Braised feather of Scotch Beef, and followed by a delicious dessert of an Assiette of Valrhona chocolate
The awards were carried out during and after dinner
After the awards were completed a 4-minute film was shown of “Bloopers” created by Adam Cartney when doing the Entier Videos for the web site – this created so much laughter and hilarity from the audience.
After dinner, the Soul brothers came back on and got everyone on their feet entertaining the crowd with a Glorious repertoire of classics from acts as diverse as Prince, Al Green, The Temptations and the Beatles. Our very own Mr SHINE joined the act on a few occasions showing off his unique dancing style!!
Following the Soul Brothers Performance Waterfront, our favourite dance band took to the stage and entertained everyone to the early hours. The dance floor was never empty, and everyone seemed to have a fantastic night.
There were 6 lucky winners on the evening who found Gleneagles Vouchers under their seats.
