The 21-year-old became pro after his outstanding performance at Carnoustie back in August 2018. After a long 18 months Sam played a storm at the Palmares course in Portugal this week, winning by 4 shots and scoring 8 under. Under the extreme pressures of competing in a new level and environment, Sam was challenged by a range of experienced players with him being one of the youngest of his 80 competitors, what a sensational way to achieve his first professional win.
Sam flew out to Algarve in Portugal on the 4th of January, to compete in a 3 events series. The first event being a practice round on the course, this allowed time for Sam to get into the swing of things on the famous Palmares Course. Come the second week he played on the Penina Golf Course where he tied 2nd place. As if this result wasn’t enough, Sam went into his third week playing at the Palmares Course, with a faultless performance resulting in VICTORY.
No time to celebrate as he will jetting off to the Middle East on the 25th January to play on the Mena Tour. Be sure to keep an eye out for our updates on Sam’s Successes.
