On 3rd December 2017, in the sleepy village of Udny Green, The Kilted Chef Craig Wilson, will welcome people from all over the North East of Scotland to support ‘Friends of Anchor’.  They are offering five hundred people the chance to be a part of a unique vigil and creation of a ‘Human Anchor of Light’ as a lightbearer on the village green.

As a supporter of Friends of Anchor, Entier are delighted to be a sponsor at this magical event at Udny Green.

Lightbearers will be given a candle to shine a light within the anchor. This may be dedicated to a loved one that has been touched by cancer or perhaps for a personal reason.

At 4.30pm, there will be a ‘Service of Hope’ in Udny Green church for all lightbearers and sponsors, which promises to be something rather special, including our home grown talent, Robert Lovie, followed by a performance from our VIP guest and shining global star, Scotland’s very own Susan Boyle.

Following the service, all lightbearers will be ushered with their candle on to the village green into the giant, illuminated anchor of light. This will be a magical display in support of love and hope, enriched with community spirit. During this time, there will be a respectful march from the local Boys’ Brigade and a pipe band as we herald this magnificent sight of five hundred people joining in festive spirit to make a difference. Hot and cold refreshments will be available in the Dr Spence Memorial Village Hall.
