Entier Wins Second Award at Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise 22.06.10

Entier is delighted to announce that it is once again a winner at the Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise. The awards seek to en­cour­age en­ter­prise by se­lect­ing and re­ward­ing entrepreneurial com­pa­nies and in­di­vid­u­als that are capable of leading the future pros­per­i­ty of Grampian.

 

Following on from our win in the Most Promising New Business category last year, we have now been named ‘Business Success Under 3 Years’ at a ceremony at Ardoe House on 17th June.

 

Peter Bruce, Managing Director, said of the win: “I want to personally thank each and every one of the Entier team for their help and support to enable us to win this award.  Last year was a major achievement to win the Most Promising New Business but to win again this year just proves it was not just a one off!!”

New Starts 23.04.10

Entier would like to welcome some new people to our team:  Alan Proctor has joined as Maintenance Manager, Toni Davie Office Administrator and Tom Clarke as Operations Manager.

This now takes our head office head count to 16, double of that when we started business in September 2008.

Entier Finalists in Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise For Second Year Running 23.04.10

Entier is delighted to announce that it has been selected as a finalist again in the Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise.

The company has been shortlisted in the Business Success under 3 Years category, having won the Most Promising New Business award at last year's ceremony.

The winners will be announced at a black tie dinner at Ardoe House Hotel on 17th June 2010.

Robert Gordon's Leading the Way in Food Safety for Aberdeen's Independent Schools 22.02.10

Eat Safe

Robert Gordon's College has become one of a select group to be presented with the prestigious Eat Safe award, and is the first independent school in Grampian to do so.  The Award was launched by the Food Standards Agency in Scotland (FSAS) during January 2005 and is designed to promote excellence in food hygiene and food safety management.

Eat safe consists of a single tier of award granted by local authorities to establishments meeting standards of food hygiene which are over and above those required by current food hygiene legislation.

This follows the catering team at Gordon's receiving the Healthy Living Award in late 2009 and proves that the pupils have the best possible catering service at school.

The catering at Gordon's is provided by Entier Olive Garden and Managing Director, Peter Bruce, said: "We are delighted to achieve this award and thanks go to Beverly and Jo for all their hard work."  The Eat Safe certificate was presented to Catering Manager, Beverly Donald, and Head Chef, Jo Watson by Peter Midgley, Head of the Food Law Enforcement Branch of the Food Standards Agency in Scotland, and Carol Jackson, Head of Service at Aberdeen City Council.

Peter Midgley of the Food Standards Agency said: "I would like to congratulate Robert Gordon's College on this well deserved award which gives recognition for the dedication to food safety shown by the catering staff at Entier Olive Garden Catering Company".

Entier Olive Garden provides a wide selection of healthy options for pupils at Gordon's, all prepared to the highest standards.  They start the day with breakfast and finish with supper for the after-school club.  The have a shop providing a range of healthy drinks and snacks thoughout the day and provide both hot and cold lunch options - each day they serve around 850 lunches to pupils.

Entier extends relationship with Apache North Sea Ltd 15.02.10

Entiér Ltd, the Aberdeen-based contract catering company, has been successful in extending its relationship with Apache North Sea Limited across the Forties Field in the UK sector of the North Sea..

 

Formed in September 2008, Entiér currently provides catering and hotel services on Apache’s Alpha and Delta platforms, and is expected to take on an additional 70 staff as a direct result of the new deal to supply Apache’s offshore catering and hotel services on Forties Bravo, Charlie and Echo platforms, domestic maintenance services across the whole Forties field and catering services at Apache’s office at Alba Gate in Dyce. The company will commence these services on 1st April 2010 and the new contract is worth an additional £7.5m over the next two years.

 

Entiér, which translates from French as “all-encompassing”, was created to support the activities of the Olive Garden Catering Company, which operates 12 contracts in the Aberdeen area both in the private educational and office dining sectors of the market.

 

The company, which has offices at Regent Road, Aberdeen, brings together industry catering experts Peter Bruce, Colin Henry and Scott Jackson with the two founding members of the Olive Garden: Mike Reilly and Brian Collie. Peter, Colin and Scott have more than 75 years’ experience in the offshore catering industry and their expertise, coupled with a determination to enhance the way offshore contracts should be serviced, has paid dividends.

 

Commenting on the contract win, managing director for Entiér, Peter Bruce, said: “This is a fantastic milestone for Entiér and reinforces our entry into the offshore catering market. We have demonstrated over the last 12 months with Apache our ability to perform and deliver within a business model that is based on integrity, trust and openness”.

In addition to Apache, Entiér currently provides catering and hotel services on six other offshore units in Europe, Far East and Canada.

Business is Blooming for the Olive Garden Catering Company 19.01.10

The Olive Garden Catering Company has secured five new contracts since October 2009 and is now the largest independent catering company in Aberdeen, operating 12 contracts in and around the city.

The new contracts, which are at three sites for Asco, Halliburton's Don Facility and the new Aberdeen Dental School, add scale and scope to Olive Garden's core business and all began in October and November 2009.

Olive Garden is now providing over 3,000 meals in business and education establishments within the Granite City on a daily basis.

Commenting on the win, Peter Bruce, Managing Director, said: "These are great contract wins for us and establishes Olive Garden as the preferred choice for catering in Aberdeen".

"These wins have created 12 new jobs and Olive Garden now employs over 60 people".

Colin Henry, Business Development Director, added: "This demonstrates that our clients are delighted with the services Olive Garden provides and have recommended us to others".

The new business takes Olive Garden's turnover to £3.5m.

Entier wins Grampian Award for Business Enterprise 27.10.09

After just one year of business, Entier has won its first award in the Most Promising New Business category at this year's Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise, sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland and managed by Enterprise North East Trust.

The awards seek to encourage enterprise by selecting and rewarding entrepeneurial companies and individuals that are capable of leading the future prosperity of Grampian.

The winners were announced at a gala dinner on Thursday 22nd October 2009, at Ardoe House Hotel.

Peter Bruce, Managing Director, said of the win: "I would like to personally thank each and every member of the team for their contribution towards us winning this great accolade.  At such an early stage of our business this would not be possible without our teams playing their part."

"I am very proud of this achievement and belive it is a great foundation to continue our growth and success."

An Educational Hat Trick for the Olive Garden Catering Company 03.06.09

The Olive Garden - Aberdeen's prestige catering and events company, announced three significant contract wins in its Educational business sector.  St Margaret's School for Girls awarded the Olive Garden a contract worth £100,000 per year for providing a full lunch service at the school in Albyn Place starting on 21 April.  There will also be a major refurbishment of the kitchen and dining areas, which will be overseen by the new caterers.

Commenting on the win, Colin Henry, Business Development Director, said: "This is a fantastic contract win and confirms our position of being seen as the preferred catering partner for the private education sector in Aberdeen".

In addition, the Olive Garden was recently awarded a new three-year contract for catering and facilities services at the University of Aberdeen, providing over 2000 meals per day and successfully negotiated an extension to their contract at Robert Gordon's College, providing over 800 lunches per day for the pupils, bringing the annual turnover of its educational business to £2.3m.

Speaking on behalf of St Margaret's School for Girls, Mrs Everest, Head Teacher, said: "We are delighted to have awarded our contract to such a well known and highly respected company as the Olive Garden.  The provision of a good, balanced and healthy diet is an essential part of the school day and we were very impressed with the imaginative menu, which they have designed for the school.  The fact that the Olive Garden is a local company makes this partnership all the more special as St Margaret's believes strongly in supporting business in the community".

The Olive Garden recently merged with Entier, which provides catering and facilities services to eight offshore units including two production platforms with Apache North Sea in the Forties field as well as marine and drilling contracts in Europe and internationally, providing over a million meals per year offshore.  The newly amalgamated company employs over 200 people and has a turnover of £12m.

Aberdeen-Based Company Wins First UK North Sea Catering Contract 08.12.08

Entiér Ltd, the Aberdeen-based contract catering company, has won a £7.5 million three-year contract with Apache North Sea Ltd for two platforms in the UK sector of the North Sea.

The company, which was formed in September 2008, is expected to take on an additional 44 staff as a direct result of the new deal to supply Apache’s offshore hotel services on Forties Alpha and Delta.

Entiér, which translates from French as “all-encompassing”, was formed to support the activities the Olive Garden Catering Company, the successful Aberdeen service company that has built its success on onshore facility and event catering and has established contracts with organisations such as Robert Gordon’s College and the University of Aberdeen. The incoming experience of several people has allowed the company to move into offshore catering and support services, with all aspects of the company now coming under the name Entiér. The company, which currently employs more than 150 people, has a current annual turnover of £9million and clients include Oceanteam, Robert Gordon’s College and The University of Aberdeen.

The new business, which has offices at Regent Road, Aberdeen, brings together offshore catering experts Colin Henry, Scott Jackson with Mike Reilly, who owns the Olive Tree restaurant and Black Olive brasserie in the city’s Queens Road. Colin and Scott have more than 25 years, experience in the offshore catering industry and their expertise, coupled with a determination to enhance the way offshore contracts should be serviced, has paid dividends.

Entiér was awarded the contract following a rigorous tender process. The Apache contract, commencing on February 1, 2009, will see the company provide catering and hotel services onboard the Forties Alpha and Delta platforms. Entiér already operates offshore contracts in India and Singapore and in the Dutch southern North Sea sector.

Apache North Sea, is based Stoneywood Park, Aberdeen, acquired the BP’s North Sea assets in a $650 million deal in 2003 when the Forties field became the company’s largest single asset.
