Entier's catering team at Robert Gordon's College is celebrating being awarded the Healthy Living Award Plus, following the school receiving the Healthy Living Award in late 2009 and the Eat Safe award in early 2010.
The Healthy Living Award Plus is a higher level of recognition and acknowledges an organisational commitment to provide and support healthy eating. To qualify, the school had to hold the original award for two years and increase the Healthy Living proportion of food served.
Entier's Managing Director, Peter Bruce, said: "We are delighted to have attained the Healthy Living Award Plus at Robert Gordon's College and thanks go to our catering manager Jo Watson and her team for their hard work and effort in achieving this award. IT goes to show that the children can still enjoy a wide variety of meals whilst making healthy choices."
Hugh Ouston, Head of College adds, "When you see these awards displayed you can rest assure that your food has been prepared in a kitchen of the highest standard."

Entier Secures Contract on Awilco Drilling Units 15.06.11
Entier, the Aberdeen based catering and support services company has secured a £2million annualised contract to deliver catering and hotel facilities management on two recently refurbished North Sea drilling units owned and operated by Awilco Drilling PLC.
The one year contract that includes the option of being extended for a further year was secured following a formal tendering process. It is expected that 40 new jobs will be created as a result of the successful tender. The deployment of new full time personnel now takes Entier's wave of new recruitment to a total of 80 since September last year. The majority of new personnel are local to the north east region.
Entier's 40 new staff join the two units this month as drilling operations commence on the WilHunter and WilPhoenix following extensive refurbishment in Gdansk, Poland. The units feature new improved accommodation for up to 110 personnel on each rig.
Entier will provide catering, laundry and housekeeping for all personnel on the Awilco drilling rigs. Commenting on the tender process and contract win, Peter Bruce, Entier's managing director said: "Awilco Drilling recognised quite early on the market differentiators that set us apart, mainly that we take great pride in sourcing and cooking fresh, local, seasonal produce. Our team of expert chef managers and support catering staff are serving some of the finest produce that the north east of Scotland has to offer. We serve fresh Scottish beef and our clients tell us that this has significantly improved the quality of Sunday roasts and our popular Wednesday steak nights. We have a close partnership with the same local city butcher G.Mcwilliam, buying all of our breakfast meat items from the business. All of these food items are delivered fresh offshore every week in temperature controlled containers and we are the only offshore catering business in the UK to do this.
"By using local fresh produce, we know that wastage is kept to a minimum and with our food we use supplier net prices, which is an original approach in our marketplace and has enabled us to genuinely state that we do not make profit from our food purchasing.
"In today's economic climate every business that requires external catering support is looking for best value at the best cost price, married with the best produce cooked in the best way. Entier continues to deliver on these principles."
Knut Wadet, commercial advisor for Awilco Drilling added: "We feel that Entier and Awilco Drilling share similar aspirations in our respective marketplaces. Each possesses years of exceptional industry performance within their respective organisations and both businesses aspire to offer something quite different; I am certain our close working collaboration will be successful."
